WHAT IS SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING?
What is Social Media Advertising? This may seem like an obvious question, but there is a lot of confusion out there about social media advertising services, so we thought it might help to define what social media advertising actually is.
Social Media Advertising is not posting on a Facebook or Instagram page. Social Media Advertising is paying to advertise your business on social media. This could be by way of an ad campaign or sponsored post.

WHAT IS A DIGITAL MARKETING FUNNEL?
A term used for many years in the sales and marketing industries, a funnel is generally a map which we create to steer users into becoming customers.
A typical Facebook or Instagram marketing funnel might flow like this:
Funnel Step 1. Potential customer sees product ad and reacts ie. likes / shares / comments
Funnel Step 2. Once the user has reacted with the ad (they have shown interest), a different ad is imediately triggered and shown to the user. This new ad (referred to as a retargeting ad) features a link to a sign up (opt-in) landing page asking user to provide an email address to receive a 20% discount.
Funnel Step 3. After providing an email address, user receives an email with 20% discount code which must be used today.
Final Funnel Step. User shops, claims 20% discount and completes the funnel by becoming a customer.
